Don Bosco Film School has achieved a remarkable double triumph at the 18th International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala (IDSFFK), celebrating major official selections across both its alumni network and in-house student productions. The dual recognition at South Asia’s prominent non-fiction and short film festival highlights the institute’s evolving stature as an incubator for creative, festival-grade cinematic talent.
Representing the institution’s industry-ready alumni, Maanas Kadavathanickal Suresh earned an Official Selection in the prestigious International Fiction category for his work as Director of Photography on the short film ‘Youssef’. His nuanced framing and atmospheric visual storytelling reflect the discipline and technical command fostered through practical training on campus, marking a proud crossover into the global festival circuit.
Adding to this institutional milestone, Don Bosco Film School’s very own student-produced project, ‘The Shadow of Time’, secured an Official Selection in the competitive Campus Film Category. Directed by Ritwik Deepa, the film was conceived, developed, and produced entirely within the school’s campus ecosystem, demonstrating the synergy between close faculty mentorship and student ambition.
