Don Bosco IMAGE inaugurated its state-of-the-art Dolby Atmos Sound Mixing Studio on January 25, 2025. Equipped with a 9.1.4 system, the studio features nine speakers at head level, one subwoofer, and four height speakers on the ceiling, enabling an immersive audio experience where sound surrounds and moves above the listener.
The blessing ceremony was led by Fr. Jose Koyickal, Provincial of the Salesian Province of Bangalore, and attended by key dignitaries, including Vice Provincial Fr. Shalbin, Economer Fr. Joy, Rector Fr. Kootungal Varghese, and benefactor Mr. Alexander Raju, who participated remotely and was represented by his father, Mr. Chacko and Mr. Lal C. Jose. Other guests included representatives from Medhavi University Mumbai, Sound Designer Mr. Vinod Nair, Film Director and DB IMAGE Film School HOD Mr. MC Jithin, Media Team, Alliance Furnishing, fathers, brothers and the faculty and staff of Don Bosco IMAGE.
The event began at 9:00 am with an official program where the dignitaries shared their messages and well wishes for this new venture. Following this, the studio was blessed and inaugurated. Guests were then given a detailed demonstration of the studio’s features, highlighting its capabilities for advanced sound mixing. The event concluded with hopes that the new facility would significantly contribute to the training of film students and advancements in the film industry.
